Aspen originally developed alkylate fuels in Scandinavia to benefit tree care workers by reducing health hazards (benzene, toluene, sulfur, etc) associated with exposure to emissions from pump fuels. Alkylate Fuels like Aspen have become the industry standard in Europe as they remove the hazardous components and provide a clean-combustion for small engine equipment (i.e. chainsaws, power pruning saws, blowers, etc).
