The Indiana Division of Forestry will be conducting Tree Steward classes on May 9 and 10, 2017 in Hammond, IN. The classes run for two full days and are a great way for municipal staff, tree and park board members, and enthusiastic residents to gain a basic to intermediate understanding of tree selection, identification, planting, pruning, tree maintenance, soils, and tree pests. You can register online through the DNR Events Calendar (keyword: urban forestry). If you have any questions about the program please feel free to email me at [email protected].
