Can you spare a couple of hours during the IAA Conference in Tinley Park? Consider becoming a part of the Conference Operations Crew by volunteering to assist with various activities during events on Tuesday and Wednesday. Volunteer help is needed for everything from assisting with registration to helping sessions run smoothly.
Areas in need of help:
12:00pm-4:00pm: Set up on Monday – help unload boxes, set up registration area, organize raffle prizes, assist exhibitors with move-in.
7:00am-8:30am: Registration Assistance – Hand out notebooks and name badges, direct people to the classes, and answer general questions. We’ll go over everything that you need to know at 7am. We’d also like if one or two people could stay through 9:00am if it is busy.
8:00am – 12:00pm: General Session Assistants – Assist with checking room set-up and make sure AV is working, greet speakers and make sure they have what they need. Check badges as attendees enter the room, assist with handouts if needed, dim and raise lights for speakers. You won’t miss the General Session – you’ll be a part of it!
1:00pm-4:00pm: Session Assistants – Assist with checking room set-up and make sure AV is working, greet speakers and make sure they have what they need. ANYTIME – IAA Trade Show Booth Support – Let us know the hours you can work on Tuesday or Wednesday, between 7:00am and 3:30pm. We especially need help during the morning and afternoon breaks and lunch. Your job will be to answer general questions about IAA, sell books and raffle tickets, and promote programs. Don’t worry – we’re not looking for pushy sales or someone who is well versed in every aspect of IAA. We just need and appreciate any time and support you can offer staffing the booth and assisting our members (and prospective members!).
4:00pm-6:00pm: TREE Fund Raffle Support – Help sell raffle tickets, keep an eye on the food to make certain it doesn’t run out, oversee hotel catering staff to ensure that dirty dishes are promptly removed – and, in general, help out as needed to make certain that the raffle runs smoothly.
3:00pm-4:00pm: Tear down on Wednesday – Help IAA staff pack up the office and AV.
