The Seasonal Arborist performs under the general direction of the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor of Public Works. This position is responsible for structural pruning of reforestation trees throughout the Village of Homewood, and other job duties, as assigned. All work is outdoors, in all elements.
The successful applicant will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and valid Illinois driver’s license and ISA Certified Arborist Certification. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Successful candidate must have the ability to read and follow Village and departmental regulations. The candidate must have the ability to be responsive to the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
This position is classified as a seasonal, non-exempt, non-union, position.
Wage: $13.00 per hour [up to 40 hours per week]
