Climbing Events
Work Climb, Aerial Rescue, Secured Foot- lock, Belayed Speed Climb, Throw Line and the Master’s Challenge.
The Illinois Arborist Association Tree Climbing Championship will take the first 25 men and 5 women that sign up. The men will compete in the 5 events and the top 3 finishers will compete in the Master’s Challenge to decide the champion. The women will compete in 5 events; work climb, throwline, belayed speed climb, se- cured footlock and aerial rescue. The woman with the most accrued points after competing in the 5 preliminary events will be crowned the champion of the women’s division.
Gear inspection will be at 7:30am The competition will start at 8:30am
PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL ALSO BE HOLDING A KIDS CLIMB THIS YEAR!
All contestants are responsible to know and understand the rules for each event. 2015 rules will be posted on the IAA web- site and will be e-mailed with the confir- mation letters.
Individual prizes include:
MEN
1st Place—Over $1000 in prizes 2nd Place — $300 cash
3rd Place — $200 cash
4th Place — $100 cash
WOMEN
1st Place—over $1000 in prizes 2nd Place — $300 cash
3rd Place — $200 cash
