Forestry Technician

Summary – The Forestry Technician performs work in the forestry, land management and restoration and other natural resource management functions including tree removals, tree maintenance, reforestation, invasive species management and controlled burns.

Essential Functions – Duties include conducting tree survey, assessments and inventories. Climbing, operate a bucket lift truck, tree removal, pruning. Applying pesticides, assisting in controlled burns, maintain waterways, and other land management duties. Perform heavy lifting tasks up to 50 pounds.

Experience- Associates degree and/ or certification in Natural Resource Management, Urban Forestry, Horticulture or related field. Three years of related work experience. Must have valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License, Class A with airbrake endorsement and a Public Pesticide Operators License within first six months of employment.

Starting salary is $21.63.
