Title: Baumanii, Bicolor & Biloba – Guided Arboreal Walking Tour
Speaker: Jeff Brink, Sr. City Forester of the Chicago Dept. of Transportation
Summary: Visual uniformity, biological diversity and ecological stability! Let’s review. Numerous genera were utilized the beautiful community of Pilsen, a neighborhood of rich cultural heritage located southwest of Chicago’s downtown. Though ongoing tree planting continues, 17 years have passed since the original tree planting initiative took place. Over the years, many trees have grown beyond expectation in part due to greater soil volumes and simple care from adjoining property owners.
Jeff Brink will be guiding this arboreal walking tour. Streetscape construction, tree preservation, and many genera in full leaf will be reviewed.
