IAA Annual Day of Service


Date: October 18, 2022
Time: 7:30 – 3:00
Location: Camp Mathieu, 25W501 Butterfield Rd, Wheaton, IL

Description of work: Removals and pruning (large deadwood 2” & greater, elevation, crown reduction and crown elevation)

PPE required: we will follow all ANSI Z133-3017 Standards, head protection meeting ANSI Z89 Standards, eye protection meeting ANSI Z87 Standards, work boots covering the ankle and providing ankle support, hearing protection, chainsaw leg protection while using a chainsaw on the ground.

Personnel required: Aerial lift operators, groundspersons, climbers.

Equipment needed: Tracked and wheeled lift units (high priority), aerial lift trucks, chippers and trucks, 4 X 4 pickups, 1 grapple truck.

Scope of work: A lot of removals, most need to be topped, some need to be rigged; clearing of lights on utility poles, vine removal off of structures, large deadwood pruning.

Most of the work is tree removal with topping. Very few ‘notch and drops’.

Chip and log disposal on site
