Reports to: Mulch Manager

The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of the Mulch Department Driver position. This is consistent with our need to be flexible and responsive to the needs of our clients.  The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by Kramer Tree Specialists, Inc. management.


The main objectives of the Mulch Department Driver as directed by their immediate supervisor are to deliver products, transfer loads from brush or leaf collection crews to the yard for processing and\or utilizing a loader truck haul brush from client locations to the yard for processing in a manner consistent with the performance triangle.  Drivers are expected to exhibit professionalism by exercising caution, treating customers and the public with respect.

Kramer Tree Specialists believes that safety is the foundation for quality work and productive work. These three things form what we call the performance triangle.


  • Perform equipment and vehicle pre-trip / post-trip
  • Follow an established route plan utilizing Maps and\or GPS.
  • Report any incident to your Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the immediate supervisor.
  • Assure that all necessary paperwork is completed daily.
  • Assure that loads are properly loaded in the appropriate trucks and that loads are safely secured
  • Assure that the vehicles that you drive are kept clean and safe to operate.
  • Maintain a professional appearance of yourself and equipment at all times.
  • Comply with all Kramer Tree policies and guidelines such as smoking, appropriate attire, PPE etc.
  • Actively participate in the implementation, and compliance of safety related programs.


  • Ability to identify problems and work in conjunction with others to implement effective solutions.
  • Obtain Smith Systems Driver Certification within the first six months of employment.
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bi-Lingual Preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds


  • One to Three Years of Driving Experience.
  • CLD Class A – Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement.
