Public Works Department – Tree Maintenance Division


Annual Salary Range: $73,269 – $93,512

Brief Description of Duties:
Responsible for directing all forestry activities under the direction of the Street and Alleys Superintendent. Duties include: contract administration for tree and landscape related services; maintaining the GIS-based tree inventory data base; performing plan review, tree preservation and code enforcement; municipal property landscape design, installation, and maintenance; educating homeowners on the benefits of a viable urban forest; acting as a liaison between the Village and utility companies; administering grant programs for the forestry division 

Required Training and Knowledge:
Bachelors degree in Urban Forestry or related field along with three years of relevant experience required; ISA Certified Arborist or ability to attain designation within six months of hire required; experience in landscape design and maintenance preferred; previous experience using GIS-based tree inventory software desired; must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; must possess a friendly personality and enjoy interacting with community residents
