We are currently looking for a Chicago Territory Manager to join our team to serve existing clients, grow new business with professional landscapers, landscape maintenance companies, tree care companies, golf courses, cities and government organizations in the Chicago Territory (Illinois). The RTSA Chicago Territory Manager would be responsible for identifying and establishing relationships with potential clients and fostering relationships with current clients that will increase product use, value, service, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed all annual sales goals and sales activities as set by the Territory Sales Leader for the Chicago Territory including all of IL
  • Create a positive RTSA client experience by providing top-tier customer services using a consultative selling approach and a commitment to serve clients
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to create awareness and develop relationships with key influencers inside companies, green industry associations and others within the green industry
  • Identify new business opportunities with current and future product lines for Rainbow
  • Research and discover the needs of clients to best serve them in growing their plant health care business with Rainbow products, protocols and application equipment
  • Collaborate and contribute as a committed, dedicated and coachable sales professional during team meetings
  • Utilize CRM on a daily basis to update Client Engagement work flow and keep accurate contact information, activities, opportunities, and sales pipeline for the territory
  • Develop and regularly update a working prospect list for the territory
  • Prepare sales reports and provide updates to management and RTSA teammates on what is working/not working and required actions
  • Collaborate with RTSA Arborologist (Technical Specialists) to support clients with diagnostic, application, technical support, and protocol training with clients and potential clients in the territory
  • Collaborate and contribute with RTSA’s Customer Service Team and Dedicated Account Development Specialists, and Arborologists as part of a high powered professional team for the Chicago territory
  • Develop and implement annual strategic business plans within assigned geography to allow RTSA to advance in the marketplace
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations and sales presentations that enroll and create opportunities to serve clients

  • Must be computer literate and proficient at MS CRM and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of green industry sales experience required in B2B sales or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS in Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Biology or similar field is preferred for this position but not required if sales experience qualification is met.

This is remote position that would be based in the territory and home office based.
